Walking confidently toward a bright future!

So, I am getting back into my usual schedule, which means I can get more things done for the game. I have been doing a mix of writing and picture hunting for the new section of the main quest I am currently working on. The introduction to this part of the quest got a little too long winded, and I hope I'll manage to cut it down a bit (not being a native english speaker still causes me troubles, from time to time, and it seems to me like I should be able to trim the dialogue down).

I have most of the pictures I need for the NPCs and the rooms involved in this quest, but I should probably get a few more before I am done with it. I think the mechanics I came up with for this quest will be very fun, I just hope things don't get too out of hands and I end up wasting too much time just because I want to keep adding stuff. XD This quest will also be peculiar because you can actually refuse to do the "quest" part, since the offer falls in a bit of a grey area, morality wise. If you refuse, you'll be offered a different deal (maybe even more sinister, in a way) and if you refuse that one too... Well, you'll have to make sure you do a good job with the rest of the main quest. :P

I also have a list of stuff I need to work on after this quest (I want to introduce some minor differences here and there for having low MR, I need to add a couple of NPCs, I should probably work on adding some meaningful interaction with the house you can buy). Since I failed the December deadline I had set for myself, I might as well work on giving some extra spark to the game, before a new release. There are probably more plans I have in mind, but I can't remember them right now (I should peek at my notes :P).

And now, give us a round of applause for the return of your favourite "most useless thing anime related" done by men, the anime intro/review combo of the week! Today we'll talk about Monster, by Naoki Urasawa (who is the author of the manga, actually, but hey, the anime is an adaptation... And I just read the manga without watching the anime, as usual... Don't judge me!).

*insert smart commentary here*

Monster is quite the dark tale. It's about a brain surgeon who saves the life of a kid, who turns out to be a terrible "monster" (also, he saved his life by choosing to operate on the kid over operating a prominent politician, if I remember correctly, so his career got screwed as a reward). I don't want to say more, because I feel it would spoil the plot, which is very intricate but engaging, so I'll just say that you are in for a tale of death and pain, and even if some "anime shenanigans" are there, it's a very serious plot, and it does a decent job at avoiding any faux pas and disrupting the suspension of disbelief (at least, it worked for me XD).

Well, this should be it, guys! Let me know if I forgot something, and feel free to ask me questions about anything, really (sometimes, I am not sure how informative my posts actually are, so if you feel the need for some clarification, just ask away... Although if I deem the answer too spoiler-y, I might keep it to myself anyway. ;p). Until next time. ^_^
