...That's why I keep posting on mondays (okay, maybe I was busy and then I forgot, sorry -_-).
Anyway, I started working on the slave paths. One of them is relatively short, so I started with that one, and I am making decent progress with it. I was considering whether I should make it longer or not, but I figured it's fine, since they are part of the quest anyway, and these alternative paths only are available at the very end.
With that being said, there are a lot of interactions with objects in this one, so it takes a while to figure out how to appoach it, and then put everything together. It will be a "classic" escape scenario, where you are bound, your willpower is dropping, and you need to figure out what to do before the time runs out. I should be able to put out some sexy scenes in-between the escaping attempts (it will have some breaks, instead of being a one time, all-or-nothing situation), and I'll see whether I should have multiple approaches available or not. I think I should still use the "standard" bad end for the quest, if you fail, as ultimately it's the one that makes the most sense, although I'll probably add an extra scene before the ending, so that the slave paths feel a little different from a normal bad end.
This is pretty much all I can say without spoiling stuff, I think, so I'll cut this short now. As always, see you next week! ^_^
A blog about conquering the world... Or my adult MC-themed videogames, I can't remember right now.

Will the timer be time-based or based on a number of actions like the Rough Landing 2 game, iirc?
ReplyDeleteNumber of actions. The scene will be fast and not too long, though, so every action will move the timer forward, to make it a bit more tense. It will be pretty lenient, I think, so it shouldn't be too difficult regardless.
DeleteHooray!
Delete(My ancient computer should still be able to run this then.)
Don't worry, very few PCs are worse than mine, usually everything I put out should be able to run on a potato.
