What's that? It's monday over here, but it's still sunday somewhere on the globe?

Good enough for me!

I'll add that I should never fire up videogames I enjoy late at night, or this happens... :p

Anyway, it has been a week of more or less business as usual. I worked on the first section of the quest, did some more picture hunting for some of the NPCs, wrote all the text I'll ever need in this section (at least I think so, as there aren't many dialogues planned for this part), scripted the beginning, but I have yet to finish it because I am unsure about a few thing, namely how complex I want it to be. I need to make sure there is enough meat to this bone, but I don't want to give too many options that are redundant, so I am trying to figure out ways to allow approaches that feel different enough to solving this part. I probably won't have traditional puzzles in this section, although it's still not 100% sure.

Other than this, not much else is going on, as you can imagine. So, since it's quite late over here, good night, and see you next week! ^_^

  1. "turns out I like Xcom A LOT"

Probably shouldn't be saying this to you, since we want 1.0 to come out, but if you have XCOM, I'd highly recommend you download the "Long War" mod.

To quote Jake Solomon about the mod, he said vanilla Xcom is "basically a 20-hour tutorial for Long War, and that's okay."

    1. XCOM swallowed literally my life for a great bunch of months! I'm expecting the XCOM2 like you don't know how! *giggle* and you want MDQP to turn away from videogames to "other videogames"? No! :D

    2. I actually finished it today. I was a bit disappointed about the normal difficulty (I killed the final boss without him ever getting to attack me, using just a sniper and two mecs, meaning I had enough firepower left to kill him a second time XD), and I was considering playing it again on classic (I even did a few missions), but even if the game got suddenly more challenging, it felt a little too repetitive (I was starting to feel this way toward the end of my first playthrough as well). I am more likely to play Xenonauts a second time, instead (the graphics are terrible, but it's much more flexible, and I like the difficulty better, even if I think giving aliens a better line of sight compared to yours is a bit of a dick move).

I still like it an awful lot, but I feel like I've had my share of it, for now.

    3. I am looking forward to Xcom 2, or more accurately, I am looking forward to when it's 75% off and I can actually afford it. XD
