Almost there

I worked on some "minor" content, mainly random events and a new NPCs (it should make some of the donors happy :D). I didn't really test the quest, so that's still on the table, and then I should probably give a quick look to what I did, and make sure I am not forgetting something. After that is closed beta time, bugfixing and polishing, and then (finally) a public release. I have decided to add Piper's side-quest next time, it's been too long without a release, so I feel it's time I speed things up a little. It's still going to be weeks before everything is done, but hopefully everything is done within a month or so.

Other than that, I don't have much else to report, In the short term I'll probably try to figure out what I could add that isn't too time consuming, and test everything I have added so far this week, and prepare for the closed beta, I shouldn't have any other big plans, really.

So, I guess this is it, until next week! ^_^

  1. Ciao MDQP! :D

See when you have a schedule everything tends to fall after deadlines, being chaotic once in a while brings inspiration.. But yours...

Yours is another level of procrastination xD

  5. I don't mean to bother anyone, but I'm new here and I was wondering when the next update or version was planned to be released. I really love this game, so I was hoping to see the improvements even if they are just a small amount.

    1. Also, how were you able to make it into an html file? It is very good for me since I have a mac, so rags doesn't work for me.

    2. I still don't have a set date, but since what I decided to put in for this release is almost completely done, I'd say 1 month at worse, but probably just 2-3 weeks (I have some minor things to add, and then I need beta testers to test things out, followed by me trying to fix/improve stuff).

RAGS has a built-in option to convert files to an html format. It is unfortunately buggy as hell (and the development seems to have halted again, so it's difficult to say if we'll ever get a fully functioning version), but it's still better than nothing for those who don't have windows. I would still recommend the "normal" version, if you have access to a PC.

    3. Sadly I don't have access to a pc, but if you saved as html I would be happy to beta test and look for grammar to fix. I'm out of school for the summer, so I have plenty of time to spend for now. (sorry for responding late, I was at my cousin's confirmation)

    4. Oh, don't worry, I have plenty of people to help me test the game (if you find any typos in the public update when it comes out, though, let me know, I'll make sure to fix them).

    5. Thanks for the public update! I'm happy to help in any way (sadly I'm broke though). Will the update also be an html file? Even an xml file would allow me and other unfortunate non pc people to play it through the browser version of rags.

Should I message you in the comments of your next post, or do I contact you a different way?

    6. I will upload an html version as well (but it was a feature never fully implemented in RAGS, so I expect bugs everywhere for it, and no way to fix them, unfortunately).

If you want to report bugs, you can leave a comment under the post I'll write for the release. Here is generally fine, unless you want to tell me something in private, of course. XD

  6. Do you plan to release a "new contents list" with the public release?

    1. I usually do have a content list that goes with the new release, although I try to keep it on the generic side, to avoid spoilers.
