The usual shenanigans

I have been working on the usual things when a new location comes out: ALICE's comments, finding an appropriate track for the musical background, some more picture hunting (thanks for the suggestions, by the way, but I still can't find images of plant-people which look the way I want them to), plus I fixed a minor issue I stumbled upon (it's probably been in the game for a while, but since nobody noticed before me, I'll just pretend it never happened :p), and I added the sex scene of the quest to the game already, since it was already written by a friend, as I mentioned before (we'll probably have to discuss some details, but it won't require much more work). It's going to be more bizzarre and unusual than the rest of the game, so consider this a fair warning (it might or might not involve sentient plants :^).

The gameplay should be more straightforward, compared to Darenzia's quest, so there will probably be a few traits checks here and there, some fights (you'll probably be able to evade those), and maybe a choice or two (it won't affect the main picture, it will mainly be for different approaches within the quest, so no big ramifications). There might be something unique to the quest, if I can come up with a way to translate into gameplay an idea I have for it, but I won't burn too much time on it, if I can't figure it out, since I think there will be enough content as it is anyway.

So, a fairly productive week, nothing too extravagant, for better or for worse. See ya next week! ^_^

  1. Well now I know how true Evil looks like. It is you Mdqp! No one torture a lot of people like you. Honestly! You tease us with a new ideas you add to game but don't give us any release date. I don't know about other but I am really desperate :)

    1. I really enjoy the consistent updates. I'm happy to know the game is being worked on and how. Many games of this type get dropped somewhere in development, especially when it is such a large undertaking. Constant communication from the developer is the best reassurance that such a thing won't happen and Mdqp is one of the best when it comes to keeping us in the loop.

    3. Honestly, if I used a different engine, I might consider releasing updates a bit more often, but RAGS puts out a single file, and I have to upload it each time, and people have to download the full game every time, and there is no backward compatibility with old saves, so it makes it a terrible approach, especially as the game becomes this big.
Also, I do personally prefer when updates are more substantial, so I ended up doing the same for my games.

I kinda feel bad for how long it's taking me, but free time isn't always so readily available. :/

  2. That etichette: flowers lead to petals, petals lead to yuri, yuri lead to Darenzia route.

    Hell, It's about time.
