Piper romance... Done! (Kinda-sorta-ish)

Sorry for taking so long! At least I have finishied Piper's romance, though... Kinda-sorta-ish. I added one more date, a scene for giving her the matching ring, and the final scene for the romance. As I mentioned before, though, I couldn't remember my original plans for the final scene, so I just come up with something on the spot. I think it's good, but I wonder if the "submissive path" should be a bad end or not. Right now, I settled down for a rather anticlimactic mental resistance loss to characterize it, but I am not 100% satisfied. Making it a bad-end though might be a little uninspired as well, considering you can get one already with Malena. I don't know, this might end up getting revisioned further down the line, but right now I felt trying to crack this puzzle could have taken just too much time. On the plus side, the structure is there, so I wouldn't need to do a lot of mental gymnastic to add a different scene/event, and the rest is already nice and done, so I don't need to worry about it.

I am probably going to tackle some minor things here and there, and a few donors requests (don't worry, I didn't forget about you guys :p). Some should be fairly easy to deal with, and all should be interesting for everyone involved, I have a couple of nice ideas that should fit right in!

Speaking of which, I got a 15€ donation from Occasus and 5€ from J.R. (thanks a lot! :D), and hopefully I am not forgetting anyone (I have been a bit busy these last few days, so hopefully I am not goofing up).

This should be about it! If I am forgetting something, feel free to remember me about it in the comments. Have fun! ^_^

    1. Well, that was already kind of present with certain options during her dates, I just gave it some "closure", so to speak, during the final scene for that romance path. As I said, it might be subject to changes, as I am not entirely happy with it, but I feel like for now it should be good enough.

  2. So, does this mean we're close to a release?

    1. A closed beta should be close enough, but a public release is still a bit fair away. I would probably want to have at least Darenzia's and Piper's sidequests in place, plus a bunch of minor quests/scenes/etc, before going public.

    2. It's not my fault she is straight! I tried talking her into it, but she just isn't willing to budge... :p

    3. Anon #2:

Why are you answering his post by asking about the RPG Maker game? Am I missing something? (sometimes I can be very slow).

Anyway, I am doing some more work on the RPG Maker game as well, I think I have come up with a decent idea for the combat system, but it will need work to make it more interesting (I don't like the vanilla system much, so I am thinking of ways to improve it). I am probably going to work on some sexy scenes though, as working on the basic systems all the time can get boring. :p

    4. Darenzia Kasparov. Astronaut. A woman barely lesbian.

      Gentlemen, we can rebuild her.
We have the technology. (and the alcohol)
We have the capability to make the world’s finest
      bisexual woman.

Darenzia will be that woman. Better than she was before. Better. Stronger. Faster. Yurier.

    5. How about no? Damn, I should have picked an uglier model, and made Darenzia an asshole, people like her way too much! XD XD XD

  4. IF anything do a combo of the Mental conditioning loss, and a slight " Bad situation" Instead of going as you please, you kind of have to do as Piper says.

    1. Well, it's not like you become her sub (she is way too submissive for that), but you get to "see her point of view", so to speak. :)

  7. Great news, mdqp! IT's curious how the most strange girl is actually the most "safe" romance for Celeste. Piper just want to satisfy her, while Jane is a latent yandere that could wipe out Celeste mind in her jealousy rage and Malena just want to make Celeste hers, forever.

    1. Well, she was originally meant to be the only romance, so maybe that's part of the reason, but she is fairly "harmless" on her own right, so to speak.

You must consider that Jane doesn't really do it on purpose, she has an emotional breakdown and loses control of her powers, so I don't know if that makes her a yandere. That path is also influenced by gameplay reasons, and limitations: having her act normally after such a thing would have been odd, and her leaving the crew or changing completely every dialogue she has were options I deemed to be too extreme. In the end, solving the conflict with a game over was easier, and didn't take away from the game, I feel.

Malena is actually tamer than what I previously imagined, if you can believe that. I wanted to make her really obsessed, but toned down things a little, to make Celeste romancing her something believable.

  8. Have you ever tried Patreon?

    1. Sorry for the late reply. I was planning on writing one last scene, write an update for the blog and answer any comments left, but I got stuck with some personal business, and didn't really work much on the scene. XD

Anyway, I never tried Patreon, but I am not sure if that's a good idea. I already allow for donations, if someone likes what I am doing, and I believe the idea behind Patreon is to give me x amount of money each month, basically trying to support me for my work. This is just a hobby for me, though, I would probably feel uncomfortable getting money every month for my efforts, and I doubt I could ever make enough money to do this full-time, so I would be just raking money in without giving back more than what I already do.
