And Yet it moves.

I didn't make as much progress as I expected, because I changed my plans a bit for the second half of the quest, and I might make it a bit longer, after all. Anyway, I had to waste a lot of time doing some picture hunting (you wouldn't believe how much time it got me to find 2 pictures and edit them... Rather poorly, I might add), and re-write a few dialogues. I also had to add some more rooms that weren't planned, at first. Maybe I can recycle one or two I probably won't be using after I changed my mind, though, so it's not that bad on that part.

I think I have a couple of nice ideas for the gameplay of this part of the quest, which makes me happy for taking things toward this direction. There will be a bunch of new characters, but you'll get to meet an old "buddy" of yours, too (well, it will depends on what you did before, but at least it's a possibility  ^_^).

I have already started coding part of it, but I have yet to get into the main parts, I have just done the introduction, and some basic item/actions placement, with the first steps for the gameplay. There will probably be several approaches to this part of the quest, but I am not sure if I should make them restricted by the traits you picked or not, I guess I'll decide once I see if it upsets the balance of the game.

I am also wondering if I'll need different soundtracks for some of the various areas of the quest. So far, I simply left the "Verania-main-and-only-theme" on, but once I test this part, maybe I'll add something else.

This should be all, for now, until next week! ;)

    2. Would it be possible to "swindle" the person again?

    3. You'll have different ways to handle the situation, but there is no escaping him, this time.

"Blackthorne 3 the last stand" makes for a great movie title! :D

Just for the fun of it, MDQP but you have to include yourself in the game as some sort fo mechanic working in a spaceship that it will be the best of the galaxy yet, but have no time whatsoever to finish it hahaha ouh wait... That's your game hahaha. Nevermind but think of it ;P

Already waiting the next part of the game.

    1. That would be a nice easter egg, if I find a good way to conceal it for a normal playthrough... :D

  3. Been replaying the game again for inspirations. Does Seer in Red Light District do anything other than being crazy and drop some hints?

    1. Nope, he is crazy and drops hints. :D

He is a tribute to a character in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, mainly. I might add more lines to him, but I doubt I'll ever do something specific with him.

    2. He did give me an idea on how to handle adding a cheat device in the game in later versions.

Basically, during the game a player can find 3 Orbs. Once you get all 3 orbs, you can ask a crazy old wise guy about it, and he will tell you a password to a locker which you can only find in the very beginning of the game. So if the player decided to play the game again, s/he can get the cheating device for fun.......

probably will break the game though....but that's the price to pay for using the Orb of Power!! XD
