Bugs needed some fixing...

...So I fixed some bugs (actually, a decent number of them, as usual). I have been working on ironing out all the issues in last week closed beta, and now the fixed version has been sent in again, hopefully things work just fine now (as always, if you were supposed to receive a link, but didn't receive one, contact me, I can be really forgetful at times). I also added a few dialogues, a new scene, and I worked on improving two of the new quests (hopefully, the improvements are for the best). I am a bit tired lately, so if this round of testing turns out to be fine, I might be tempted to release the game in its current form, and get some rest from the game. It could probably do with 1 or 2 more side-quests, but the content should be enough as it is now. Oh, well, I will decide when the reports come back and I fix all that still needs fixing (I am sure I managed to add bugs here and there, with just a few changes... -_-), which probably means another week minimum.

My new ISP has finally decide to move its ass, too, which means I'll be going offline for a while, sooner or later (they already missed on the deadline they themselves set to deal with this, so I have no idea how this will work out... I am starting to get a bit worried) as they do whatever it is that those companies do when they have to deal with a customer migrating from one company to another (I assume it involves flinging poo at each other).

But enough crazy talk, here is the moment you've all been waiting for! The strippers the anime intro/review combo of the week! Coming up in the show today: Fist of the north star!

If you thought the characters from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome were poorly dressed, you haven't seen anything yet!

One of the first anime I have ever seen, and violent as hell! I loved it when I was a kid, and I still like it today. I mean "martial artist blows up bad guys by simply pressing secret vital points", what's there not to like? The main protagonist would be the king of all badasses, if it weren't that his step-brothers seem to always be one step ahead (although they don't appear in the beginning, so you can enjoy his badassfulness in all its glory, before he gets overshadowed). Probably the only weak part of this story, is that most of the plot revolves around people doing stupid things because they are in love with Ken's girlfriend (Kenshiro would be our protagonist's name, this time around), but it can be all forgiven, thanks to the loads of drama the anime constantly throws at you, and the epic boss fights.

Also, the original intro has some hilariously bad engrish thrown in it, so you should watch it just for that. ^_^

Well, this is it for the week, see you next time!

On another note, hope your wagon on The old Game Dev trail doesn't suffer from various bugs.

    1. I guess that's an apt description of the show! ^_^

There should be a few more bugs, but fixing them should be easy enough.

    1. I don't have a set amount, so to speak, but I already have enough people between official testers, and donors who have access to the beta and report bugs and typos they find. Having more than those would probably just slow me down, since I'd need to read and reply to all reports anyway, which already takes enough time as it is now.

I am fixing the remaining bugs (as I imagined, whenever I go back to modify old content, I add new bugs everywhere, but it seems to work fine, for the most part) and polishing things a bit here and there, but it shouldn't take ages to solve all the problems.
