All Of The Above
So, as you might know already if you are a patron, the release got delayed to the end of the week. This was a mix of the art being delayed, and my own progress being slower than expected. Anyway, things should move forward as planned from here on out.
As for what got finished this week, I handled the random events at the circus I want for this release (one is of the sexy variety, the other two are currently just cutscenes of the various shows). The sexy scene will have a follow-up, although this one got a few rewrites as I wasn't happy with the original version. On the plus side, this allowed me to come up with some visual ideas for the scenes with Dani, so they should all be interesting once you get to see them.
I also did some mapping work (this will tie to the ship random events and a little secret players will be able to find... If they are good explorers).
That's all for now. The new map probably won't be ready for the release, but I'll make sure to add a few more scenes (I really need to write the new one for Gaspar, for example) and then it's going to be release day. I also have to send the game to the testers soon, so I am sure the next few days will be quite busy.

Endless Bugfixing
So, this week I wrote the new scene for Dani (as well as a follow-up scene), I finally made the main show at the circus functional (I have the intro and the first of a few random events written) but today I got side-tracked by another bug, and it took me quite some time to go through the game and fix all instances of it.
Basically, I got a handful of reports over the years of people being unable to save (and getting their saves deleted). Since it was so sporadic and inconsistent, it was hard to figure out if it was some weird interaction within RPG Maker or something else entirely. Anyway, I finally got a report that narrowed things down, and I figured what's wrong, so that shouldn't happen anymore. I think that was the last "known issue" in Caliross (and even then, it was unconfirmed before, which is why it stayed around so long), and that's great.
I'll try to write a few more scenes for this week (I have a few I can choose from), and then it's release time. I might have to slightly delay the release compared to my plans, but we'll see. That's all the news I got for you guys at the moment, until next time! ^_^

Stubbing My Toe Everywhere
This week really felt like I couldn't take 5 steps without finding a new problem, as you might have noticed thanks to the two hotfixes. In fact, one of my testers found a new bug with the schedule and starting chapter 3 (no more hotfixes, since this one should have a workaround, at least) and I also fixed typos and other similar issues here and there.
As a result, I slowed down a little, but I finished the intro for Dani to become a vice-captain, and I also finished writing all reactions to the pirate attack around Golden Leaf. If someone important is missing, let me know, but I think overall we get a nice variety of responses now, and it should feel nice as a little "treat" after repelling the pirates.
I do have a scene in the works (the first one involving Dani at her new role), but it's very early stages at this point.
That's about it for this week. I figure I'll focus on new scenes first (including the one mentioned above) and then I'll try to see how much time I have left and what I can do prior to the release (which I imagine will be sometime near the end of next week).
